Law Enforcement Education Program Speakers

Craig Dickerson, POIII, is a 25-year veteran of the Montgomery County (Md.) Police Dept. He is also a former Maryland State Trooper and US Army MP. Officer Dickerson has vast experience in law enforcement, having spent time in patrol, 17 years full time with SWAT as a Sniper Team Leader and Assistant Entry Team Leader, and the last five years assigned to the Training Academy in Charge of Tactical Training. Dickerson is a seasoned instructor and has taught departments all over the country. He has been involved in several high profile cases including the DC Sniper incident.

Officer Robert Hindi is a 21-year veteran officer of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. He has served as a patrol training officer, canine officer, resident section officer and is currently assigned to the Airport Bureau / Homeland Security Division. Officer Hindi has trained hundreds of thousands of officers from around the world as a Calibre Press “Street Survival” trainer, demonstrator, lecturer, and as a certified (MEB) Monadnock Expandable Baton “Instructor Trainer.” He is the creator of several life-saving, survival-related techniques and developments - all in line with keeping patrol officers alive. Two of his most recognized, successful achievements are the Hindi Baton Cap and the Hindi Duty Belt S.A.F.E.T.Y. System.

Gordon Graham, JD, is a 25-year law enforcement veteran who retired as a captain from the California Highway Patrol. During his tenure as a police professional, he was awarded his teaching credentials from California State University at Long Beach. He later graduated from the University of Southern California with a master's degree in Safety and Systems Management. Subsequent to this, he received a Juris Doctorate from Western State University. Capt. Graham's education as a risk manager, experience as a practicing attorney, and extensive background in law enforcement have quickly brought him international recognition as a dynamic speaker with multiple areas of expertise.

Dave Spaulding is a retired law enforcement officer who now works for a federal security contractor. He has 33 years of experience in law enforcement and security operations. During his career he has worked in numerous assignments including patrol, investigations, undercover operations, SWAT, training, protective operations and administration. A self-proclaimed training junkie, he has attended most of the major firearms schools as well as teaching courses himself all across America. He is the author of over 1,000 articles for major firearms periodicals and police trade journals and is the author of two books Defensive Living and Handgun Combatives.

Dave Young is the Founder and Director of ARMA, now part of the PoliceOne Training Network. He is also the Chairman of PoliceOne.com Advisory Board, and a training advisor for CorrectionsOne.com. Dave graduated from his first law enforcement academy in 1985, and now has over 25 years of combined civilian and military law enforcement and training experience. He was a sworn corrections and law enforcement officer in the state of Florida and has served as a gate sentry, patrol officer, watch commander, investigator, Special Reaction Team (SRT) member, leader and commander in the United States Marine Corps.

Dave has participated in and trained both military and law enforcement personnel in crowd management operations throughout the world. Dave is recognized as one of the nation's leading defensive tactics instructors specializing in crowd management, chemical and specialty impact munitions, protocol and selection of gear and munitions, ground defense tactics, and water - based defensive tactics.

He has hosted television shows for National Geographic TV Channel on Non Lethal Weapons and the host of Crash Test Human series. He is a former staff noncommissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps, a member of the Police Magazine advisory board, and a technical advisory board member for Force Science Research Center. Dave is an active member of the American Society for Law Enforcement Training (ASLET), International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).
