The host of MeatEater podcasts and TV adds brings excitement to the 2018 SHOT Show
There has been a lot of talk lately about how the outdoor market is “changing.” With all the new customers, new products and a new President, it is now safe to say the market has already changed.
With change comes opportunity, and those who embrace changes in the marketplace will have a better chance to succeed, while those who resist may very well fade away. This goes for both companies and individuals.
Join outdoorsman, author and host of the top-rated MeatEater Podcast and the MeatEater TV show, Steven Rinella, during the 2018 SHOT Show Executive Management Seminar. Opening the seminar with his keynote presentation “Lessons from the Field: Thriving in a Changing Marketplace,” Rinella will discuss the failures, successes and luck—both good and bad—of an outdoor media career that has spanned a period of seismic shifts in the reading and viewing habits of the American public.
After starting out as a magazine writer during the ad-heavy days preceding the dot-com crash, Rinella went on to publish five books on hunting and fishing with major publishing houses. He also hosted The Wild Within, the first and only hunting show to ever appear on the Travel Channel; it went up in flames after just eight episodes. Turning failure into opportunity, he created MeatEater, the first hunting TV show ever carried by Netflix. After five successful seasons, he also launched the MeatEater Podcast, which is routinely ranked by iTunes as the leading podcast in the outdoor space.
Registration for the 2018 SHOT Show, taking place Jan. 23-26 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, is now open.
