Thank You to Our Industry’s Veterans
At NSSF, the SHOT Show and throughout our industry, veterans are a fixture. Many in our ranks are filled by those who served in the military’s ranks. Each day, we are fortunate to work alongside those who served our nation in peace and in war, and this Veterans Day we honor and celebrate them. From all of us at NSSF and the SHOT Show, thank you!
SHOT Show Lodging on a Budget
With more than 2,700 exhibitors across two major venues, the SHOT Show merits a multi-day visit for exhibitors and attendees. There are plenty of hotels located right next to The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum offering both great value and convenience to help you maximize your investment while in Las Vegas. Importing Firearms for Display at the Show?
If you are temporarily importing firearms into the United States to display in your booth at the SHOT Show, NSSF is trying to work with ATF to ensure that ATF Form 6s are processed promptly so that you will be able to import your product in time. Click here for more information and what we need from you so we can help facilitate the process, in light of the current federal government shutdown. If you have not yet submitted the eForm 6(s), we advise you to submit the form immediately and indicate in Block 10 of your permit that the intended purpose is to import for SHOT Show. You can do this by simply typing in “for SHOT” along with the normal Block 10 information. For those submitting Forms 6NIA for SHOT, please follow up your submission with an email to Imports general email box (Imports@atf.gov ) with “for SHOT” in the subject line of your email. This will give ATF an opportunity to identify and prioritize those permits requiring immediate action. — Larry Keane, NSSF

Yes, Another Reminder About Hotels
We know we keep mentioning it, but when we get close to the show it is inevitable that exhibitors reach out to us with requests and concerns that they can’t get discounted hotel rooms. The Venetian Resort is very close to full for our week, and many other hotels have their discounted hotel blocks sold out as well. Great opportunities still remain for the Flamingo Hotel, which is adjacent to the Caesars Forum, and the recently opened and luxury resort, Fontainebleau. Go to shotshow.org/hotel-and-travel to view available hotels. — Melissa Schilling, NSSF
Plan for Your Target Time
As you prepare for the SHOT Show, please take a moment to review your target time — the date and time when Freeman will have your booth space ready for move-in.
Plan your flights and hotel stays around your target time to ensure at least one staff member is on-site when your space is ready. This is especially important if you are shipping freight to the show.
- Shipping to the advance warehouse: Your freight will be delivered to your booth by your target time. Having on-site staff ensures everything is received properly.
- Shipping directly to show site: Your freight should arrive on your assigned target date to prevent delays in getting it to your booth.
Remember, the SHOT Show follows a clean floor policy. All empty crates must be tagged for removal by your deadline, which is typically 2 days following your target time, so Freeman can keep move-in on schedule. You can find your target time and the clean floor policy in the Exhibitor Resource Center. Review the information now and plan accordingly to ensure a smooth start to the SHOT Show. — Melanie Mathis, ConvExx

What’s Happening in Vegas These Days

Vegas is certainly busy these days and lots of activity is taking place around our home away from home. Just outside the front door of The Venetian Expo is a racetrack for the upcoming F1 race that runs all around The Venetian Expo. You can see the cars racing down the Strip the weekend of November 20. As for the other side of the Strip, you can see a giant guitar rising out of the ground. The new hotel tower will be 660 feet tall and is part of the new Hard Rock Hotel that is being built on the site of the Mirage Hotel. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx
