Be Cautious of ‘Official’ Directory or Daily Newsletter Solicitations
Please know that the only official directory or daily news being distributed in or around the SHOT Show is called SHOT Daily or the SHOT Show Buyers Guide. No other publication, such as Outdoor Industry News and others, is endorsed by or affiliated with the show, or permitted to be distributed during the show on the grounds of The Venetian Resort or Caesars Forum or our official hotel blocks. If you would like to learn more about advertising in either the SHOT Show Buyers Guide or SHOT Daily, please reach out to me at ctatulli@nssf.org. — Chris Tatulli, NSSF
SHOT Show Travel on a Budget
Attending the SHOT Show represents a significant investment for you and your team — but there are ways to stretch your budget when it comes to travel. Whether it’s through low-cost carriers to get to Las Vegas or being strategic once at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, there are a lot of opportunities to save money and further your return on investment. — Jade Moldae, NSSF
Don’t Forget About Your Hotel Room
Some of the discounted hotel rooms in our block are already sold out, so if you are looking to save some money this year, we recommend you book now before the discounted rooms go away. Rooms at The Venetian Resort are still available, but rates will only go higher as we approach the show. Three hotels within a short walking distance to the show and directly connected to Caesars Forum are Flamingo, LINQ and Harrah’s, and all are around $200 or less a night, plus a discounted resort fee of only $35 (resort fee is $50 a night if you book directly with the hotel or through other sites). Rooms still available for less than $199 a night include the Sahara Hotel, Plaza Hotel, Palace Station and Circus Circus. — Melissa Schilling, NSSF
Have You Hired a Contractor (EAC) to Help You with Your Booth?
Please make sure your Exhibitor Appointed Contracts (EAC) not only completes the required paperwork, but reviews all the information that pertains to third party contractors that help you at the SHOT Show. Avoid any issues or delays onsite by being fully prepared before arriving in January. Please have them review the section of the EAC in the Exhibitor Resource Center, and most specifically, have them complete the EAC Agreement & Application. The deadline to receive applications is December 19. — Jennifer Carr, ConvExx

Vehicle in Your Booth?
Are you planning to showcase products in your camouflaged truck, Jeep or tank this year? If so, the Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) requires a “Liquid or Gas-Fueled Vehicles or Equip in Assembly Area” permit for all booth vehicles. SHOT Show management will apply for a “Blanket Permit” for all exhibitors that want to display a vehicle in their booth, free of charge. To be part of the Blanket Permit, please submit the Vehicle Display Form by Friday, November 14. Please click here to complete the form. If you do not make the deadline, you must apply for the permit directly with CCFD and pay the applicable fees.
