Our staff has just returned from Germany’s IWA OutdoorClassics Show in Nuremburg, and it was, perhaps, the best show we’ve ever had there.
The IWA OutdoorClassics is SHOT Show’s European counterpart. An enormous gathering of manufacturers and buyers from all corners of the globe, IWA boasts nearly 1,400 exhibitors and nearly 42,000 attendees from 121 countries. It is a critical event for NSSF, providing us a unique platform for engaging colleagues outside the U.S., particularly those who haven’t attended SHOT Show before or recently.
In addition to our booth on the show floor, NSSF partnered with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to host a hospitality suite that was well attended by professionals from all segments of the global firearms industry. In fact, the suite was packed! Our efforts to provide a truly productive space for networking at this very busy show included lunch, prize giveaways and a variety of incentives designed to encourage overseas attendance and participation at SHOT Show.
The results were tremendous. NSSF staff gained nearly 350 new leads during its time at IWA.
“It’s vital to the health of SHOT Show and our industry to have new products, new companies, and new buyers in Las Vegas each year,” said Chris Dolnack, NSSF Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “The impressive number of high-quality leads we gathered at IWA, especially those that are buyers, help ensure that next year’s SHOT Show will have an influx of new blood, and we’re looking forward to showing each and everyone of them what NSSF and Las Vegas have to offer them.”
The 2017 SHOT Show will take place January 17-20 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visit www.shotshow.org for news, show updates and more. Registration will open in the summer.
