New Optics Coming in 2026

New Optics at SHOT Show 2026

Red-dot optics continue their hot streak, and LPVOs are coming on strong. And that’s not all. For 2026, a competitive thermal-optic market means retailers will see these in-demand products at all price points.

Long-range optics, the type that can get you into 1,000-yard club, are being produced for every budget. In fact, lower-priced models have similar features as the high-priced models. Red-dot reflex sights, both open- and closed-emitter styles, are now the de facto accessory for handguns, and brands are making it easier than ever to own one by offering plenty of models in a wide range of features and at all price points. Like red dots for handguns, LPVOs for AR15s continue to be strong, and new models are loaded with enhancements. Then there are thermal sights; many entry-level models are priced right, so this may be the year to get your customers into a thermal optic.

AGM

The AGM AdderV2 LRF 60-1280 riflescope exemplifies the peak in modern-day electro-optical development—its first ever 1280×1024 resolution thermal device with a fully integrated laser rangefinder and a sleek, traditional 30mm tube design. The AdderV2 packs a well-disguised 1,000-meter laser rangefinder neatly tucked into the germanium lens assembly, as well as an incredible new high-resolution 2560×2560 display. These combine to provide the most detailed thermal image that AGM has ever produced. The 60mm lens provides shooters with a versatile 2.5x base magnification as well. For easy installation, the AdderV2 LRF is equipped with a one-piece 30mm American Defense Manufacturing mount. SRP: $7,495. Booth #12860
