What is Prepared 2 Protect?

Breanna Garvey (BG): Prepared 2 Protect offers a less-lethal self-defense option for people who may not be comfortable with or able to use, traditional self-defense tools like concealed carry firearms. Our goal is to provide an effective option for personal protection that helps someone escape a dangerous situation and get to safety so they can call 911.

We want people to feel empowered with a tool they can confidently use if they ever find themselves in a bad situation. Prepared 2 Protect is about offering choice and accessibility while keeping safety at the forefront.

What Types of Products Will You Be Showcasing at SHOT Show?

BG: One of the key products Prepared 2 Protect will be showcasing is the Secure 68P, which launched in October and has already seen strong interest.

Previously, the company’s .50-caliber launchers required users to press a button on the bottom of the device to activate the CO₂. With the Secure 68P, the CO₂ is housed under the barrel and the first trigger pull automatically pierces the CO₂ and fires the first .68-caliber pepper ball. This design simplifies operation and reduces the steps needed to deploy the product.

What Makes the Secure 68P Different from What's Currently on the Market?

BG: Ease of use was a major focus in the design of the Secure 68P. To simplify CO₂ installation, the launcher includes a small alignment indicator, making setup more intuitive for the user.

In addition, the magazine features a built-in key on the back, ensuring users always have the necessary tool available. This eliminates the need to carry or keep track of a separate Allen key, helping ensure the device is ready when needed.

What's New and Exciting in 2026?

BG: Following a teaser shown last year, Prepared 2 Protect is introducing the Defenser, a rifle-style pepper ball launcher designed for higher-capacity, less-lethal personal protection.

The Defenser features a 20-round magazine and full-auto capability. When using rubber rounds, it operates at speeds of up to 550 feet per second and with pepper powder rounds, it reaches 475 feet per second. The CO₂ is housed in the stock, making it easy to access while remaining out of the way and allowing the stock to function normally.

What Keeps you Coming Back to SHOT Show?

BG: SHOT Show provides an opportunity to give customers a true hands-on experience something that’s especially important for personal protection products. Seeing a product online is one thing, but being able to hold it, feel it and understand how it works in person makes a significant difference.

The show is also valuable because many customers and partners are people Prepared 2 Protect only sees once a year. With everyone in one central location, SHOT Show allows for meaningful reconnections, product demonstrations and conversations that support long-term relationships.
