SHOT Show Insider: Registration Opening Soon, Updates from Vegas, and More

Welcome to the latest SHOT Show Insider, written by the SHOT Show team at NSSF and our show partners to keep you informed on all things SHOT Show. Let us know what topics you’d like to see addressed here in upcoming issues by emailing us at shotshowinsider@nssf.org.

SHOT Show Registration Opening Soon

SHOT Show registration will be opening mid-October. Each exhibitor’s show contact will receive an email once registration is open and then they'll simply sign into their Exhibitor Dashboard and click on “Registration.” All allotments and any general questions can be answered in the Exhibitor Resource Center. Badges will not be mailed in advance; we will have pickup locations at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum as well as other locations around Las Vegas. Exhibitors can also pick up badges at our 24-hour registration area located at The Venetian Expo. — Lindsay Schaeffer, ConvExx

PACK Expo Returns to Las Vegas with Rave Reviews

PACK Expo, the packaging and processing industry’s trade show, is being held this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center with over 23,000 people in attendance. The event saw great traffic in the opening days with very busy aisles. As behaviors adjust to today’s “normal,” the event saw a large percentage of the attendees complete registration within the last three weeks leading up to the show. Because of this late push, rumors circulated pre-show that attendance would be light. On the contrary, the busy aisles of qualified and motivated professionals generated incredibly positive feedback from both exhibitors and attendees of the event. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx

A Successful Return to In-Person Events Underway

As live events continue to return with great success in Las Vegas and across the country, leaders from the trade show industry and associations gathered in Washington, D.C., this month to present a strong data-driven message: in-person events are safe, they are returning safely and successfully, and they are helping to reinvigorate the U.S. economy. Trade Show News Network featured a very good summary of the “Let’s Meet There” event. The campaign also released an informative fact sheet: “Data to Support the Safety of Travel for Professional Meetings and Events.” — Melissa Schilling, NSSF

Oct. 13 Webinar: Quick Tips for Better Attendee Interactions

Exhibitors often say that their favorite part of participating in the SHOT Show is the opportunity to connect with the many different professionals who attend. Sure, networking can be fun; but that’s not all. The way in which you interact with each attendee will have a major impact on your exhibiting results. On October 13, expert trade-show trainer Robyn Davis will host a Q&A session, where you’ll learn the strategies required to support your attendee-facing efforts before, during, and after the event. Robyn will highlight the wide range of attendees you’re likely to meet (in a variety of categories) and help you plan out your communications to build momentum toward your event-specific goals, turning every interaction into a win-win-win situation. Register here. — Erik Scarpati, NSSF

International Shipping Alert: Book Shipping Early for SHOT Show

The world of international shipping has been turned upside down due to supply chain challenges related to COVID-19. Airplanes and container ships are overbooked, and demand continues to increase. Trade show shipping should be considered critical to your successful participation at the 2022 SHOT Show and advanced planning is crucial to that success. If you are shipping products or exhibits from outside the U.S., be sure to allow extra time due to congestion at airports and seaports. Please use these dates for international shipments:
