Webinar Tomorrow: ‘Digital Tools for Exhibiting Success at SHOT Show’

NSSF continues its SHOT Show Exhibitor Academy webinar series tomorrow (October 8) at 2 p.m. Eastern with “Digital Tools for Exhibiting Success at SHOT Show.” In this week’s session, Steve Goulder, Senior Product Manager for GoExpo Community Brands, will share an in-depth look at the digital tools available to you as a SHOT Show exhibitor and how to use them to your advantage. New ‘5 Questions, 5 Answers’ Feature

With the SHOT Show rumor mill in high gear, we’re starting a new SHOT Show Insider feature that will answer the 5 most common questions regarding SHOT Show as submitted by you, our customers. Attendee Registration to Open Next Week, Exhibitor Registration Opens Oct. 26

SHOT Show registration will open for attendees on Tuesday, October 13, and for media on Wednesday, October 14. Exhibitor registration will open the following week on Monday, October 26. There will be changes this year to the registration process, with everyone’s health and safety being top of mind. Be prepared and register early this year – there will be NO onsite registration this year. Registration will be closed January 6, so please plan accordingly. I can’t stress enough that only approved registrants will be allowed to attend the SHOT Show. All attendees and media will now be receiving their badges in the mail, just like in past years. In order to receive your badge in the mail, all attendees and media must be registered and approved by December 17. Exhibitor badges will be picked up on site by the primary contact of the exhibiting company, by appointment ONLY. By putting these changes into place, this will prevent any crowding and allow for continued social distancing while keeping everyone safe. Retailers See Show as Critical to Staying on Top of Inventory Needs in 2021

Continuing in our series, “Why I Wouldn’t Miss SHOT Show,” writer Peter Mathiesen caught up with the owners of two firearm retail stores in California and Colorado to discuss their plans for the 2021 SHOT Show. Said Cynthia Thome, owner of Bear Mountain Sports in Bakersfield, California, “I have to meet with my vendors at SHOT. If I don’t, I feel like the limited supply to California retailers will be bought by another retailer, and that translates to reduced inventory for my store in 2021.” Read the full article here. — Bill Dunn, NSSF

Ensuring Safe & Organized Traffic Flow at the Upcoming SHOT Show

We have all noticed new ways in which retail stores are adapting for social distancing in their establishments.  Bright circles on the ground telling you where to stand in line for the check-out counters. Stickers at the end of each aisle in the supermarket telling you which direction you can go in that aisle to account for less cross-traffic. To make the show as safe as possible for all participants this year, SHOT Show will be no different. 

Adjustments will be found not only on the exhibit hall floorplan with one-way aisles but expanded entrance-only and exit-only points will be established to avoid the large amounts of people congregating in one area. You can CLICK HERE for an overview to see the extent to which measures are being taken to ensure the show will be safe. 

Entrances are being created in areas not yet utilized, like outside off Sands Avenue, for direct access into Hall G on Level 1 and Halls A & B on Level 2. Attendees will be directed into the Venetian Ballroom through several doors where Express Registration used to be. Express Badge Pickup will be located in another area of the Venetian campus to avoid large crowds in the hallway, that we all have loved to see packed in the past, but don’t necessarily want to see this coming January.
