SHOT Show Insider: VIP Networking, New Hotels Added, and More

Welcome to the latest SHOT Show Insider, written by the SHOT Show team at NSSF and our show partners to keep you informed on all things SHOT Show. Let us know what topics you’d like to see addressed here in upcoming issues by emailing us at shotshowinsider@nssf.org.

NEW FOR ’23: VIP Networking and Nightlife Packages

We’re excited to announce some awesome new SHOT Week experiences: VIP networking and nightlife packages. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, exhibitors and attendees can attend exclusive industry networking events at some of the hottest nightclubs in Las Vegas and also get access to VIP “Guest List” entrances at the clubs. Packages start at $79 and availability is limited. Check it out here. — Chris Dolnack, NSSF

Final Exhibitor Academy Webinar Next Week

Expert trade show trainer Robyn Davis will be hosting her final webinar of the year next week (December 21), titled “Your Final Checklist of Strategic Action Steps.” Robyn has hosted five other webinars throughout the past several months, all aimed at ensuring you have the greatest ROI possible on your exhibiting experience, and you can find them all on the Exhibitor Resource Center. Register here for next Wednesday’s webinar, and don’t forget to watch (or rewatch) the past webinars to assist you as we head into the new year. — Erik Scarpati, NSSF

New Hotels Added to SHOT Room Block

Due to overwhelming demand for hotel rooms, we just added a few more hotels to our discounted room block to accommodate more requests for rooms. Recently added include Caesars Palace, Paris and Bally’s hotels, as well as additional rooms at the Flamingo, which is just steps away from the Caesars Forum. Find available hotels and daily rates at shotshow.org/travel. — Melissa Schilling, NSSF

Reminder About the Clean Floor Policy During Move-In

As previously communicated, the move-in period for the SHOT Show this year is shorter due to the timing of the CES Show immediately before us. Because of the shortened window, and the strains of moving out the empty crates from the show floor, it is more imperative that every exhibitor conform to the Clean Floor policy that has been in place for several years. Essentially, every exhibitor with target times between Wednesday and Friday must have their crates labeled and empty for removal over the weekend (Saturday for Wednesday target times, and Sunday for Thursday and Friday target times). Please plan your team’s schedule and labor orders accordingly so you do not have crates removed prematurely. We appreciate your cooperation. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx

Poachers and Scammers Are Relentless These Days

Unfortunately, they simply don’t care about whether they are offering something to purchase they can’t deliver or that they are infringing upon others’ intellectual property. We continuously see—and receive—solicitations for attendee lists (even putting our logo on the solicitation), hotel rooms dramatically discounted, show dailies distributed in all hotels and throughout the strip (which isn’t permitted), and even a TV show of behind-the-scenes at the SHOT Show (they are not authorized, or even registered media, and wouldn’t be approved anyway). If it looks too good to be true, go with your gut and don’t pursue or even acknowledge it. If you are unsure if they are legit, feel free to email exhibitorhelp@shotshow.org and ask us. — Chris Dolnack, NSSF

Send a Dedicated Email Blast to Show Attendees

The SHOT Show doesn’t sell its lists to anyone, so please don’t believe any scammers out there trying to sell you one. We do, however, offer exhibitors an opportunity to reach attendees via email through our official badge scanning and lead management provider Maritz Global Events. You are able to select what audience you’d like to reach with your message, and you provide the content. We’ll do the rest. Price varies by the size of the audience you select. Learn more and use this service by logging in here. — Melissa Schilling, NSSF

Reminder About No Retail Sales in the Exhibit Halls
