In this SHOT Show Q&A, we had the opportunity to speak with Streamlight’s VP of Sales, Allen Lance. He shared insights on what's new and exciting at Streamlight, emphasized why the SHOT Show is an essential event to attend and provided a glimpse into what we can expect from Streamlight in 2025.

What's new and exciting at Streamlight?
So this year, for SHOT, we're going to introduce 15 new products, so SHOT Show, in many ways, is like our Super Bowl. As a company, we do approximately 55 corporate shows a year. Still, SHOT Show by far is our largest show in terms of our investment in the number of people we bring to the show. This year, we will have approximately 40 people from Streamlight at SHOT Show to help us launch these new products.
We're still sticking with the theme of rechargeability. We recently introduced some rechargeable battery platforms, our SL-B9, to the rechargeable TLR series and our ProTac series for weapon night lights. So what that allows people to do is Instead of using a traditional CR123 battery, which has been a traditional battery for weapon-mounted lights, they now use a battery that is, in essence, the same in size but is a rechargeable battery with a USB-C port in the battery itself. So now, instead of continually loading batteries and throwing those batteries away, they can recharge the battery and use it in their weapon-mounted lights. So, we will continue to push the envelope on that theme and other products.
Where can we find the Streamlight booth at SHOT Show? What can we expect to see?
We have a very large footprint at SHOT Show. We have a 30 by 80 booth, which is 2,400 square feet of portable lighting products we will share with our customers up there. We are located in the Venetian Expo level two, right next to the shot bridge to the Caesar's Forum. So it's a great location in terms of transitioning from one section of the show to the other. We're right there and excited to show off our new goods.
What are you looking forward to at SHOT Show?
We've stepped it up. We're sponsoring the registration area this year, so people will see Streamlight well represented there. This year, we're sponsoring one of the Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) sessions for law enforcement officers for low-light tactical training, which I think will be very valuable for those officers who can attend. We're conducting this class with our partners at Team One Network. Their Director of Training, Robert Cole, will be teaching this class. It's another opportunity to showcase Streamlight but, more importantly, to provide valuable insight to law enforcement officers when they're involved in low-light tactical situations.
What's coming from Streamlight in 2025?
2025 is setting up to be a very exciting year for Streamlight. We're going to keep pushing the envelope on the technology. You know, LED technology is so fluid. The battery technology is so fluid that we will continue to push product innovation in those areas.
Right now, people are trying to find a strong blend between lumens, the total output of the product and Candela, which is more of a focused downrange measurement of the light. Blending these two with reflector technology, lens technology and LED technology changes daily. Streamlight is fully immersed in the flashlight and portable lighting world. That's what we do. We stay on top of this, allowing us to have a leading edge in the market for this product category. So we will keep pushing that in 2025 and look forward to seeing the friends we've made over the years and making new friends in Las Vegas this January.
