SHOT Show Exhibitor Profile: Timber Creek Outdoors

Timber Creek Exhibitor Profile

In this SHOT Show Q&A, we had the opportunity to speak with John Hernandez from Timber Creek Outdoors. He shared insights on what's new and exciting at Timber Creek, emphasized why the SHOT Show is an essential event to attend and provided a glimpse into what we can expect from Timber Creek Outdoors in 2025.

Timber Creek Outdoors, Inc., is family-owned and operated with more than 50 years of experience in the outdoor industry. What's new and exciting at Timber Creek?

There are a few things that are happening. First of all, we're excited to go to another SHOT Show. Timber Creek is a family-owned business; one thing they're good at is the relational part of the business. When I say that, a lot of times there are companies that you know the transaction part, You know, I got the product, you got the money. Most people are pretty decent at that, but we focus primarily on the relational side.

So, what's new for us coming up at the SHOT Show regarding products and our people introducing those? The expansion of the lines and the vision that our CEO, Tyler Tiller, had. We started with one little part years ago and it's morphed into thousands of parts, so we're excited to show how we continue to broaden the lineup of SKUs to meet the end-user's needs. Specifically, last year, we introduced some grip modules. So what's new for us this year is one specifically for SIG 365 macro, which is one of the highest-volume-selling pistols in the country, if not the world. We are introducing a new 365 grip module there, which will be pretty awesome. We believe a lot of people will like it.

What new products can we expect to see at SHOT Show?

Another introduction that we'll be doing this year is a full metal stock. One of the things you'll notice is some angle difference. At SHOT Show, we will discuss how that works and why we developed it. From a utilitarian and aesthetics standpoint, it'll be great.

Another thing that we will be doing is before the show. We're launching a rifle configurator on our website. It'll start with just our rifles. There'll be a baseline upper and lower, but then you can go through Timber Creek SKUs and build it to your liking. We have different options in terms of hand guards, whether that be carbon, Greyman Line or our Enforcer Line, including multiple colors and designs, so you'll be able to plug and play.

What will we see from Timber Creek Outdoors in 2025?

From a business perspective, one of Timber Creek's strengths is its relationships and partnerships with people in the market, dealers, suppliers and consumers. We're just going to keep focusing on those relationships and building. People's businesses have changed year to year based on many different things happening in the environment, whether political, economic or other. So, our primary focus is dealing with reinforcing and strengthening many of those relationships.

From a product standpoint, there are some things that we're still developing that we probably won't bring to SHOT Show. Just a little teaser, there's a main vision of expanding and building some of the best accessories that you could be putting on pistols and ARs. One of those expansions specifically is getting into lever guns, so expect some surprises from us there in 2025.

What can people expect to see at your SHOT Show booth?

So this year at SHOT Show in terms of our booth, there'll be a familiarity with the layout that we have had in years past. Last year specifically, we had some interactive stuff for dealers and patrons of SHOT Show to come up and participate in. This year, there'll be a different look to that as well. For the rifle configurator, we would like to have a format wherein there's an app where somebody can have interactive stuff in the booth to go through the configurator to show how that's working.

As well as the introduction of some of the new products that we're showing, the grip modules, the expansion of our chassis models, those types of things will all be displayed there at the SHOT Show. We are excited for people to come in and take a look, but most importantly to meet the crew.

What are you looking forward to at SHOT Show?

It's networking with the people. Yes, reinforcing relationships, but one of the most exciting things for us is every single year, we build new relationships or partner with somebody and they come in some of the most interesting ways. It's not just, “Hey, you're a dealer, we're signing up a new dealer,” there are so many other things that happen, there are so many different partnerships that are created and so that's one of the things that, in this day and age when you can get a lot of people together and be able to network face-to-face and communicate that way. That's probably one of the things that we thrive on the most and are most excited about.
