Insider: Eagles at Sphere, Booth Planning, Range Day

Catch the Eagles at the Sphere in January

If you haven’t heard, there is a little (world famous) theater right next door to the SHOT Show called the Sphere. We are fortunate this year to have the final four shows of the Eagles residency bookend the SHOT Show, with concerts on the Friday and Saturday nights before and after the show (January 17, 18, 24 and 25). If you are looking for a memorable experience this year, don’t wait to buy tickets for these one-of-a-kind concerts. The residency begins next week (September 20), so feel free to follow the Sphere on social media and see what the Eagles have created for this unique venue. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx

Promote All Your Brands with SHOT Show Additional Listings

Do you have other brands that you want to showcase in front of the thousands of SHOT Show attendees? Did you know you can add additional listings to your SHOT Show account and each brand will appear separately in the SHOT Show printed directory, Show Planner, and mobile app? Additional listings are $850 and come with a multitude of marketing benefits, including brand logo and description in the directory, show planner and mobile app; access to leads; and their own product categories, press releases and show specials.

You can submit an application for a new or returning additional listing through your exhibitor dashboard (under dashboard links) by clicking on the “Request an Additional Listing’ link. All additional listings must be a subsidiary of the same parent company as the contracted SHOT Show exhibitor and are approved by show management. — Chris Tatulli, NSSF

The Exhibitor Resource Center

The online Exhibitor Resource Center is where you’ll find all the information you need for your presence at the SHOT Show. You can find this page at shotshowerc.com or from the SHOT Show homepage, clicking on “Full Menu” on the top right, where you’ll find the Exhibitor Resource Center under the Exhibitors section. Whether it be links to the items and services you need to order, the schedule you need to follow, or simply answers to the most frequently asked questions, it’s all there. If you are just beginning to design your booth and the elements you want to include, please pay attention to the Display & Height Regulations (Caesars Forum or Venetian Expo), as there are specific rules based on the size and location of your booth. Save on costs and significant headaches by knowing the rules for your specific booth before you get too far down the planning path. — Jennifer Carr, ConvExx

New Product Center: #1 Destination for Buyers at Show

Don’t miss your chance to showcase your latest products in the No. 1 destination for buyers each and every year. You can find all the information here, including how to purchase, pricing, and what to expect onsite. If you are a new exhibitor, you receive a free New Product Center entry as part of your package. Be sure to take advantage of that invaluable opportunity. Also, be sure to upload your product information in your Exhibitor Dashboard so potential buyers can see them on your profile throughout the year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at cbriare@shotshow.org. — Chris Briare, ConvExx

Bringing Large Machinery or Equipment Into Your Booth?

More and more exhibitors are placing large machines in their booths that require special forklifts and material handling to bring and place in their space. If you are planning on bringing such equipment as part of your display, please be sure to coordinate with Freeman in advance to ensure they have the proper equipment and expertise on site and the path for such equipment is clear for the move-in schedule. Forms will be added in the coming weeks to the Exhibitor Resource Center, but in the meantime, if you have any questions regarding the large machinery, please contact me at jcarr@convexx.com. — Jennifer Carr, ConvExx

Be Sure to Check for Your Target Times

One of the most visited forms on the Exhibitor Resource Center is the Target Times for each specific booth. This is necessary to know as it is the first time in which your booth is eligible to have freight brought in, if your freight is arriving onsite, or when your freight will be delivered to your booth if it is shipped in advance. Not all exhibit halls are available at the same time, so it is vital you know your target time when planning for your labor and hotel room requirements.

Industry Day at the Range

Industry Day at the Range is the only range event officially associated with the SHOT Show and is proudly sponsored by NSSF. In 2005, the first range day was held with about 50 members of media and 8 companies. Twenty years later, held annually the day before the opening of SHOT Show, this event draws over 2,500 invited and vetted media members and buyers to preview and test the latest products. This is where innovation meets hands-on experience, setting the stage for what's to come in the year ahead.

Taking place on Monday, January 20, at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club, this event offers a truly exclusive opportunity to showcase new products before they hit the market. The event garners hundreds of millions of digital impressions, making it a high-value, high-impact opportunity for both big and small brands alike. Sponsors and exhibitors begin to receive media coverage the moment the event begins, and this coverage continues during the SHOT Show and throughout the year. This means your brand and new products are generating buzz before the competition even gets started. Industry Day at the Range offers a variety of exhibiting opportunities tailored to meet the diverse needs of participating companies. We currently have the following exhibit spaces available: shooting 25-1,000 yards, clay targets, airgun, demo/test track, less lethal, non-shooting and more.
