Media FAQs

Pre-registering early for SHOT Show is highly encouraged. After December 6, 2024, there is a significant registration fee imposed for media; the fee escalates for onsite registration.

The SHOT Show is a private trade show that admits only media who qualify for credentials. The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) reserves the right to deny any applicant credentials. All qualified SHOT Show media must meet the Media Proof of Eligibility requirements for their badge type. After reviewing the requirements, click the “Register” button on the homepage to begin the credentials application process.

NSSF welcomes digital media to the SHOT Show. However, digital media applicants must meet certain guidelines that demonstrate they are posting regular, quality content about shooting, hunting, the outdoors or law enforcement. NSSF has full discretion and will determine the qualifying frequency and commerciality of the posts in determining appropriate fit for the B2B nature of the SHOT Show.

Media badges are for “working media” who are covering the show for a recognized media outlet. Individuals in public relations, marketing or advertising must register for an attendee badge and enable communications between exhibitors and attendees.

The SHOT Show requires individual unique email addresses for attendees, exhibiting personnel and media. This allows each SHOT Show badge holder to utilize and customize the online show planner and the show's mobile app and receive timely SHOT Show communications. The use of unique email addresses also will help show management identify non-qualified attendees.

No one under the age of 16 is admitted (including infants). This includes attendees, exhibitors and media.

Badges for the 2025 SHOT Show will not be mailed. You can pick up your badge at one of the many  locations around Las Vegas, including the Media Badge Pickup Desk outside the SHOT Show Press Room, Lando Ballroom, Level 4 of the Venetian Hotel, starting at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Media invited to Industry Day at the Range may pick up their show badges at the range (and may board the bus to the range without their badge).

New this year due to SHOT Show security, each registrant must pick up their own badge. No one will be able to pick up other persons badge.

A photo ID is required to pick up your media badge. You are not allowed to pick up credentials for colleagues.

Industry Day at the Range takes place the day before the SHOT Show begins, on Monday, January 19, and is open ONLY to media who have been invited by companies exhibiting at Industry Day. Learn more about Industry Day at the Range at shotshowrangeday.com.

Yes. Please see the SHOT Show Media and Press Room Policies and Guidelines. Key points are to be courteous and safe at Industry Day at the Range as well as on the show floor, to ask permission first before photographing or taking video of products or individuals, and to respect the wishes of those exhibitors who may not want to engage with you for whatever reason. Failure to follow these guidelines and those listed in the Media Guidelines document could result in revocation of your media credentials and may jeopardize admission into future SHOT Shows.
