SHOT Show 2023: What to Know Before You Go

SHOT Show — the largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting, outdoor and law enforcement industries — kicks off this week. Here are some highlights to help you get ready for the show.

As any veteran showgoer can tell you, it’s a BIG show; there’s a lot of ground to cover — attendees have access to 2,000+ exhibits spread over 800,000 square feet. Be sure to download the SHOT Show Mobile App to help navigate the event like a pro. The SHOT Show mobile app will help you stay organized with up-to-the-minute exhibitor, speaker, and event information and receive important real-time communications. Build a personalized schedule and bookmark exhibitors, then visit your bookmarked exhibitors with the Quick Route tool. Interactively locate sessions and exhibitors. That’s just scratching the surface. Learn more and download the mobile app here.

Once the app is downloaded, you’ll want to look at the floor plan and get a lay of the land.

SHOT Show’s expansion now includes both The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum. We’re making it easy to travel between your favorite exhibits in each location with the SHOT Bridge, presented by RIA-USA.

Save time walking from one exhibit hall to another. The SHOT Bridge can be accessed from the exhibit floor on Venetian Expo Level 2 and connects directly to the Caesars Forum expansion area.

Must-See Show Sections

One must-see section of the SHOT Show is our New Product Center. This year it has Moved back to Venetian Expo, Level 1. The industry’s hottest new products of the year have been collected into one easy-to-shop destination. The SHOT Show New Product Center is a stockpile of insights into new firearms & accessories hitting the market; it’s a great shortcut to identifying must-see tech and innovation.

The SHOT Week Supplier Showcase is a dedicated event for suppliers to display their shooting, hunting, and outdoor material supplies, off the main trade show floors.

If you use or produce tools, machinery, plastics, fabrics, OE materials, logistics, software or other products and services for the shooting, hunting, outdoor and law enforcement industries, then SHOT Week’s Supplier Showcase is your opportunity to connect with a wide range of manufacturers and other industry professionals.

Supplier Showcase will take place Monday and Tuesday only in the Venetian 5th-floor Palazzo Ballroom.

Discover the next generation of shooting, hunting and outdoor industry companies in the easy-to-browse SHOT Show eXtra Pavilion.

SHOT Show eXtra is a special exhibit area open Tuesday through Thursday, January 17-19, 2023, from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in the Level 3 and Level 4 lobbies of the Venetian.

An estimated 60 exhibits will be on display, giving you an eXtra bonus on the show floor with an opportunity to meet new manufacturers, discover new products and identify new solutions you can’t easily find anywhere else.

Make Sure to Check Out These New!

For the first time ever, the SHOT Show will feature a retail sales area—the SHOT Plaza Marketplace—where exhibitors will be able to sell products to attendees – cash and carry. It will be located right outside Caesars Forum on the Caesars Plaza (aka the Great Outdoors Plaza). This area will not include any FFL-required products.

This year’s show will feature Added Networking Opportunities – SHOT After Dark, a new series of events that will run Tuesday through Thursday and will feature networking events on the Great Outdoors Plaza beginning at 5:30 p.m. Visit shotshow.org for additional information on all these events, plus an after-hours nightlife package with our partner FUSE.

Educational Opportunities

Educational opportunities at the SHOT Show are always expanding. Want to attract new shooters, manage inventory and volume, build traffic through the slower seasons, and maximize your margins or employees’ potential? SHOT University now offers a la carte training courses to help retailers and ranges hone their management skills for today’s highly competitive and regulated marketplace. Session content will cover topics such as customer communications, used firearms, new shooters, ATF/NICS, compliance, operations, marketing, workforce development and more.

More Information on SHOT University, as well as The Law Enforcement Education Program and Export Training Sessions, can be found at SHOTShow.org.
