EXHIBITOR MOVE-IN AT THE VENETIAN EXPO BEGINS JUST ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!
Important Meeting for Your EACs This Thursday
As we have indicated over the last few months, this year’s SHOT Show is going to have unique challenges and updated protocols for exhibitors and their EACs. As such, SHOT Show management will be conducting a brief virtual meeting to review the protocols and anticipated challenges for the upcoming show, as well as reinforce everyone’s responsibilities in making sure it is a successful event. The meeting will be taking place this Thursday, January 5, at 4 p.m. ET. Please reiterate to your EAC to join through THIS LINK ON THURSDAY AT 4 P.M. ET. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx

Transporting Firearms from the Airport
Make sure you plan ahead for transporting firearms to and from the SHOT Show. If you have firearms coming through airport baggage, SHOT Security will transport them to either the Venetian or Caesars Forum for you. This service is available, at no cost, during move-in from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday through Monday. Upon arrival, check your firearms across from Baggage Claim #5 (Terminal 1) or Baggage Claim #17 (Terminal 3). Badge pick-up also conveniently located in the same area so you can pick up your badge at the same time. You can also check your firearms after the show and security will transport them to the airport for your departing flight on Saturday. Locations for departure are located at ticket counters #34 and #35 (adjacent to American Airlines) (Terminal 1) and next to United (Terminal 3). — Mike Clark, ConvExx
Shipping Firearms in Advance
If you are shipping firearms to the Advance Warehouse, they need to be packed separately from your freight with the Direct Security Wearhouse label. The deadline for the standard rate of $1.08/lb was January 3. From January 4 to January 9, Freeman will still accept freight, but the rate will increase to $1.35/lb. The shipping labels are located in the Exhibitor Resource Center under Shipping Labels – Directly Security Warehouse. Make sure you complete the label with your company name, booth number and the number of boxes sent. Please keep an inventory of all firearm shipments, including the serial numbers. All shipments for Venetian will be taken to Secured Storage on Level 1 – Hall G, or the vault at Caesars Forum for those exhibitors there, each ready to be signed out by a company employee. — Jennifer Carr, ConvExx

Looking for Dinner Options for Your Team?
Vegas is known as a foodie and dining destination, and you continuously hear about or see all the celebrity dining destinations all over the Strip. If you have the budget, it’s a great opportunity. However, what people don’t realize is there are numerous dining options by celebrity chefs that don’t break the budget and there are several inside our host hotels. Gordon Ramsay has a Fish & Chips establishment in the adjacent LINQ Promenade. Guy Fieri has a burger joint at the LINQ Hotel. Buddy Valastro, otherwise known as “Buddy V” of TLC’s Cake Boss fame, has a bakery and restaurant in the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes. Explore the SHOT Show’s neighborhood and you will find there are over 100 restaurants to choose from and there is something for everyone and at all budgets, even those that just crave a burger from SoCal’s famous In-n-Out Burger (which is just feet from Caesars Forum on the LINQ Promenade). — Chris Dolnack, NSSF
