Exhibitor Academy Webinar Series Has Begun
The SHOT Show Exhibitor Academy is a series of webinars to help exhibitors achieve their greatest return on investment. The series began on July 26 with a session by trade show trainer Robyn Davis discussing “Deadlines, and Data, and Action Steps … Oh My!” Robyn continued with a second webinar, titled “A Beginner’s Guide to SHOT Show 2024.” You can watch a replay of these webinars by going to shotshow.org/exhibitor-academy, as well as register for upcoming webinars throughout the rest of the year. The next session, titled “How to Keep Controllable Costs from Careening Out of Control,” will be conducted by NSSF's Chris Dolnack on September 27 at 2 p.m. Eastern. Promote All Your Brands with SHOT Show Additional Listings
Do you have other brands that you want to showcase for SHOT Show attendees? Did you know you can add additional listings to your SHOT Show account and each brand will appear separately in the SHOT Show printed directory, show planner, and mobile app? Additional Listings are $850 and come with a multitude of marketing benefits including brand logo and description in the directory, show planner, and mobile app; access to leads; and their own product categories, press releases, and show specials.
You can submit an application to renew or request a new additional listing through your Exhibitor Dashboard (under dashboard links) by clicking on “Request an Additional Listing.” Or simply visit shotshow.org/ADL to submit your request. All additional listings must be a subsidiary of the same parent company as the contracted SHOT Show exhibitor, and are approved by Show Management. — Chris Tatulli, NSSF
Book Your Hotel Rooms Now
We say it every year, that it is important to book your rooms early, and every year without fail, we are contacted by exhibitors pleading for assistance because they missed the opportunity for discounted rooms at their favorite hotels. Please be sure not to be one of them. Westin Hotel has already sold out, and we recently added a few more hotels as some hotels were already getting close to sold out for those most important nights of Tuesday and Wednesday during the show. Also, room rates at The Venetian will increase next week (September 14), so, if you plan on staying there, be sure to book now. See What’s New at The Venetian Expo
Wondering what that giant globe being built behind the Venetian Expo was going to be? Been on the internet lately? You may have seen that The Venetian is home to the latest iconic venue transforming the Vegas skyline. Only the outside is on display right now, with nightly shows lighting up the Vegas sky, but it soon becomes home to U2 when it opens later this month. Check out some great shots of what you’ll see this coming January.
The Venetian also announced a new entertainment venue opening up later this year, with its first residency crashing their ticket system and selling out on the first day. Kylie Minogue headlines their newest venue, Voltaire, which opens in November. They just announced dates for the weekends surrounding SHOT Show, but those sold out just as quickly. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx
Request Your Meeting Rooms Now
If you need a separate meeting room outside your booth, there are rooms available in a variety of sizes, but inventory is limited at both the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum. Meeting rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. Full day or half day times are available, with half days being 7 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 6 p.m. Evening rentals are available for receptions.
